The End
The trip of my life is complete.
After travelling in South America in 2003, I decided that I wanted to see as much as I could of this world, to see with my own eyes areas like the Middle East or Asia, to try new food and meet the interesting and different people.
Morocco, Balkans, Middle East, India and Asia. It was a year of contrasts, a year full of colour, emotion and amazing experiences.
I have thousands of stories and images in my head and I could write for hours about what I saw, heard and tried, but I believe you have to experience it yourself - no matter what the others will tell you, living these countries and cultures in first hand is the only way to understand a little bit of what is going on in this planet, so I rather leave you with a couple of photos.

Peace Arrived, But The Country is Still a Mess
Corruption is in your face and the country wouldn.t survive without the help of external NGO.s. These people lost all during the wars and Pol Pot regime, but misery is still present everywhere and Cambodia has a long way ahead. It.s a very sad country with a handfull of very greedy govermental, police and army officials.

Phnom Penh Reconstruction Started
Phnom Penh - Terror City
Pol Pot designed his plan of an version of agrarian collectivization from here and in 1975 moved almost 2 million people to the countryside to work in collective farms and forced labor projects, with the goal of restarting civilization in Year Zero. The combined effect of slave labour, malnutrition, poor medical care, and executions had an estimated death toll of 750,000 to 1.7 million (approximately 26% of the population at that time).

Out of India - Out of Terror
To those reading this blog, I am out of India. I just arrived in Bangkok - although Bangkok Airports are controlled by Anti-Government-Protesters their fight is with the Government and NOT with foreign tourists, therefore the situation is NOT dangerous at all.
I am sitting in an internet cafe beside my hotel and all looks calm. I will not leave Bangkok for a couple of days till the situation calms down.
The situation in India is scary. I visited, stayed or ate at all the places mentioned all over the media. I could be there - especially in Cafe Leopold, the perfect spot for an afternoon beer in Mumbai.
I was caught in a War in Georgia and left the terror in India to arrive in a Country where the powerful army just asked the government to dissolve parliament and call new elections.
It.s funny to think that when I told my family about my travel route, all they said was: "Iran, Syria, are you MAD! Those countries are SO dangerous." There you go, India should be a safe country to travel in but the goverment was not able to stop such attack.
